This is the heart of my practice, the place where I test materials and ideas.

FLOUR SERIES, 2021
A collaboration with photographer Joseph Lambert. Small particles map big movements. Hold on as it slips away.

TROVE, 2019
A collaborative experiment into the earliest stages of developing performance material. A small group of artists build a collection of visual and performance material, communicating only through what is left behind, not seeing each other throughout the project. This is a personal space for research and play, stocked with an abundance of art supplies, tech supplies and creative materials.

Participating artists have included Celeste Cooning, Alyza DPM, Kim Lusk, Jenny Peterson, Calie Swedberg, Rosa Vissers.

Supported by a 2019 Cornish Arts Incubator residency (SEA).

PORTRAIT OF A MOTHER, 2019
A new solo, in-development, spinning on states of postpartum anxiety. Meticulous, misplaced care and an orderly destruction are combined with lipstick and a long roll of crackling paper.

Supported by a 2019 Flight Deck residency from Open Flight Studio (SEA).

MEL + BRITT, 2016
Percussionist/composer Melanie Voytovich, choreographer Britt Karhoff, visual designer Marijke Keyser and a group of Seattle performers come together for 3 weeks to test early stage ideas around how viewers can shape a performance, either intentionally or unintentionally. Audiences affect the performance through their movements inside the space and interactions with sound installations. Tested in the staircases, balcony and atrium of the Cornish Playhouse lobby.

30-45 minutes.

Supported by a 2016 Cornish Arts Incubator residency (SEA).
